Project

MEMORY FOR ALL is a collaborative training and research program in citizen science that promotes the study, organization, and dissemination of historical, cultural, and technological heritage. It is developed in close collaboration with archives, institutions, municipalities, local authorities, schools, and local associations.

The content gathered (such as objects, photographs, audio and video testimonies, sounds, and other records) with the participation and involvement of citizens and institutions is made available online in open access.


Principles

  • Democratize access to knowledge and historical research tools;
  • Ensure open access to information, complying with FAIR standards;
  • Include different forms of public participation and collaboration in the production of knowledge;
  • Curation and scientific validation of content.


Goals

  • Map, understand, record, organize and preserve tangible and intangible heritage;
  • Encourage all citizens to share their personal and family memories;
  • Raise awareness of the contribution of memory and heritage to social and territorial development and cohesion;
  • Produce and disseminate knowledge and create new sources for historical research;
  • Promote social dynamics of memory construction, as an essential factor in defining identity.
 

ETHICS

- The personal data collected is processed electronically and in strict compliance with personal data protection legislation, being stored in specific databases created for this purpose, and under no circumstances will the collected data be used for any purpose other than that for which the present consent was given.
