Memories of Biosphere Reserves
Objective:
The project "Biosphere Reserves. Sustainable Territories, Resilient Communities?" (www.reservasdabiosfera.pt) is based on the environmental quality of the territories of the Biosphere Reserves, largely resulting from the commitment and work carried out by the responsible entities.
It aims to enhance the value of these territories, in close articulation with the communities, encompassing the heritage assets and the promotion of ecosystem services, focusing on strengthening skills, adopting an assertive and innovative valorization and communication strategy, and adopting a demanding and collaborative governance model.
The project started in November 2020 and has a duration of 30 months. It is funded by the EEA Grants 2014-2021, within the framework of the "Ambiente, Alterações Climáticas e Economia de Baixo Carbono" Program promoted by the Secretaria-Geral do Ambiente e Ação Climática.
