Memories of the Serralves Park
Objective:
The "Memories of the Serralves Park" is part of the 100 Years of Serralves Park project, developed within the framework of the Serralves Park centenary celebrations (100anosdoparque.serralves.pt), aiming to highlight the importance of the Park in its historical, social, cultural and environmental dimensions. Through a collaborative and shared dynamic, the Memories of the Serralves Park project seeks to characterize and value the historical trajectory and heritage of Serralves Park, considering its place in the local, national and international context, understanding and disseminating this trajectory in order to promote reflection on the main challenges faced in the present and future. The intention is to articulate the institutional trajectory of the Park and the City with oral testimonies from those who have interacted and continue to interact with it, as workers, collaborators and/or visitors. The Memories of the Serralves Park initiative is promoted and funded by the Serralves Foundation, in collaboration with the Memory for All® program, developed by History, Territories and Communities (Functional Ecology Centre of the University of Coimbra) of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities of the NOVA University of Lisbon.
The interviews were conducted in Portuguese.
