Jag har valt att fota gamla badhuset eftersom det är en plats som många i Kiruna har koppling till. Under många år har badhuset varit en viktig samlingsplats där både barn och vuxna har tillbringat tid genom lek, simning och gemenskap. I och med stadsomvandlingen har badhuset stängts, samtidigt som ett nytt badhus har byggts i den nya stadskärnan. Det gamla badhuset står därför som en symbol för det som varit. Det är en plats fylld av minnen och historia som snart kommer att försvinna.

I have chosen to photograph the old bathhouse because it is a place that many people in Kiruna have a connection to. For many years, the bathhouse has been an important gathering place where both children and adults have spent time playing, swimming and socializing. With the urban transformation, the bathhouse has been closed, while a new bathhouse has been built in the new city center. The old bathhouse therefore stands as a symbol of what was. It is a place filled with memories and history that will soon disappear.
