Jag sitter i klassrummet och försöker hålla fokus på lärarens genomgång, men blicken dras gång på gång mot det nya centrumet. Den här delen av Kiruna känns fortfarande ovan, trots att jag under hela min gymnasietid sett hur den vuxit fram. Även om Kiruna egentligen inte är mitt riktiga hem, fanns det något i det gamla som jag kunde känna igen mig i, det har format min bild av staden.
Utanför pågår en förändring som är svår att ignorera. En hel stad håller på att flyttas och byggas upp på nytt. Gamla hus rivs, nya reser sig, och kranarna reser starten på nya kapitel. Det känns nästan som att staden själv packar ihop sina saker för att börja om.

I sit in the classroom and try to stay focused on the teacher's presentation, but my eyes are drawn time and again to the new center. This part of Kiruna still feels unfamiliar, even though I've seen it grow throughout my high school years. Even though Kiruna isn't really my real home, there was something about the old part that I could recognize myself in, it has shaped my image of the city.
Outside, a change is taking place that is hard to ignore. An entire city is being moved and rebuilt. Old houses are being torn down, new ones are being erected, and the cranes are raising the start of new chapters. It almost feels like the city itself is packing up its things to start over.
